Short-term parking

30-minute stays at P1 keep pickup runs cheap and close

P1 sits directly in front of Terminal 1 at Kraków John Paul II International Airport, signed as the short‑term car park for fast drop-offs and pickups. This is the lot you see as you approach the terminal access road, and it’s meant for stops measured in minutes and a few hours, not days.

This is the airport’s designated short-term option, with pricing structured in tight time bands, usually starting from the first 10–15 minutes and then stepping up every 30–60 minutes. P1 makes sense if you’re walking someone into the terminal, waiting for an arrival, or parking for a quick meeting near KRK. Daily rates add up fast compared to the long‑term zones farther from Terminal 1.

The walk from P1 to the Terminal 1 doors is only a few dozen meters across the forecourt, so you’re at check-in within minutes. That short walk is the whole point here: ground-level parking, no shuttle, no extra security gate between the car and the terminal. If you’re dropping off bulky luggage or older relatives, this proximity beats the cheaper long‑term lots.

P1 is normally open 24/7 in line with the airport’s schedule, covering early Ryanair and LOT departures as well as late-night arrivals. Payment is at machines near the pedestrian exits and usually supports cards and cash in złoty. Keep your ticket dry and flat; losing it at P1 triggers the full “lost ticket” fee, which can easily exceed a normal day’s parking.

Tip: Pull into P1 only once your passenger is already in the terminal or at arrivals; tight per-minute charging means a 10-minute wait on the curb can cost less than looping the short access road twice.
