Briciole Bar sits landside in T1, before security

Briciole Bar is in the public departures hall of Terminal 1 at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, handy if you’re meeting someone or arriving early on a BLQ–LIN shuttle. It’s a straightforward Italian airport bar: counter service, quick turnover, and standing space that fills fast around the usual 07:00–09:00 morning bank of flights.

Expect the standard Bologna combo of espresso and pastry, with cappuccino prices in the €1.50–€2.20 range and cornetti or brioche around €1.50. Coffee quality tracks what you’d find at a normal city bar, not a chain, and staff move orders quickly, so a basic breakfast run usually takes under 10 minutes even with a short queue.

Later in the day, Briciole Bar leans into aperitivo-style snacks: small panini, tramezzini, and a few ready-made focaccia slices, generally in the €4–€7 band. Beer, wine, and Aperol Spritz are available; expect airport markups, with a Spritz or glass of house wine closer to €7–€8 than downtown Bologna prices. Portions stay on the light side, so think snack, not full meal.

Because it’s before security in T1, this works best if you arrive at BLQ more than 90 minutes ahead for Schengen flights or 2 hours for non-Schengen, so you still have margin for the single security checkpoint upstairs. Seating is limited to a handful of small tables plus some stool space at the counter, and they turn over constantly around the 18:00–20:00 evening wave.

Practical tip: if your gate is already posted on the screens near Briciole Bar, timebox your stop. Finish your drink, then head to security at least 45–60 minutes before the scheduled boarding time printed on your BLQ boarding pass, as queues can spike suddenly and T1 doesn’t have many food options once you’re at the gate.
