Staff Parking

Long Stay

Daily rates at TRV’s Staff Parking suit long stays

Daily pricing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport’s Staff Parking makes it a workable long-stay option if you’re fine with a basic setup. It sits on airport grounds at TRV, serving both T1 and T2 staff first, but travellers sometimes use it when main public lots fill up or spike in price. You pay per calendar day, not per 24-hour block, so a car left from Monday evening to Wednesday morning counts as three days on the tariff chart.

The airport’s revised parking tariffs from 15 May 2025 apply here, with long-stay pricing stepping up in clear bands after the first 24 hours. Short hops of under a day rarely make sense in this lot; you usually win on cost once you’re past the 48–72 hour mark. Payment follows the same pattern as TRV’s other car parks: collect a ticket at entry, settle the charge at a pay counter or machine before exit, then scan again at the gate.

Staff Parking sits outside the main passenger flow for T1 and T2, so you’re looking at a longer walk or a staff shuttle hop to reach departures. There’s no dedicated covered walkway like the ones close to the terminal frontage, and wayfinding signs may only say “Staff Parking” without the word “public.” If you’re travelling with big luggage or kids, build in at least 15–20 minutes to get from your parked car to check-in.

Practical move: before you commit, check the latest TRV parking tariff chart dated 15.05.2025 and compare Staff Parking’s daily rate against the standard long-stay lot; for trips over four days, the staff area usually works only if the main public long-stay is already busy or priced higher.
