Accessible Parking

Marked bays sit right next to T1 and T2 entrances

Accessible Parking at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport puts the designated bays directly beside the terminal buildings, so wheelchair users and passengers with reduced mobility have one of the shortest walks at TRV. You park on the same level as the main drop-off, with no need for shuttles or long ramps between the car and the glass-fronted terminal doors.

The airport’s May 2025 tariff revision applies here too, so Accessible Parking follows the same official rate card as the general car park next to T1 and T2. You pay by time band at the entry/exit booth, with charges increasing after the first hour and again after several hours, just like the standard parking slabs published by the airport operator.

Bays sit in the main surface lot immediately beside T1 and T2, not in a separate structure, so it’s easy to coordinate drop-off or pickup with domestic flights from T1 or international flights from T2. Look for the wheelchair symbol painted on the ground and on nearby signboards as you approach the terminal forecourt from the airport access road.

This is a self-park setup, not valet, so drivers stay with their vehicle and handle their own luggage from the marked accessible bays to the closest terminal entrance, which is usually under 100–150 metres at both T1 and T2. Elevators, trolleys, and airline porter services then take over once you’re inside the building.

Practical tip: reach the airport at least 15–20 minutes earlier than usual to find an accessible bay near your airline’s terminal (T1 for most domestic carriers, T2 for most international) before queues build at the entry barrier.
