First 30 minutes at Car Park P1 cost ₹30
Car Park P1 sits directly in front of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport’s terminal area, marked as the short-stay option for quick drop-offs, meet-and-greets, and errands at TRV. This is the airport’s primary short-stay facility and is signed as “P1 Short Stay” at the terminal approach road, so you can spot it early from the main access road into T1 and T2.
Parking tariffs at P1 were revised on 15 May 2025, with the minimum slab now starting at ₹30 for the first 30 minutes for a standard car. If you push past that first half hour, the rate steps up in slabs instead of per-minute charges, so short stops stay reasonable but leaving your car here for several hours starts to add up compared with long-stay areas.
P1 works best for terminal-side access to T1 and T2 when you are dropping someone off, picking up an arrival, or running inside for a quick check-in issue. Walking time from the far end of the P1 rows to the terminal entrance is usually under 5 minutes, even if you end up near the back during a busy bank of departures, which keeps tight schedules manageable.
Payment at P1 follows the updated airport system that kicked in with the 15 May 2025 tariff change, so expect staff to use handheld machines at the exit barrier and to quote the official slab chart posted on boards near the booth. Keep small notes or a working card ready; it speeds up exit and keeps the queue behind you moving when multiple flights land close together.
If you are waiting on a delayed flight, watch the clock after the first 30 minutes: once you cross into higher slabs at P1, it can be cheaper to loop around the terminal road again or use a ride-hailing pickup instead of sitting in the same short-stay slot.
One practical tip: before you lock the car, snap a photo of the nearest P1 zone marker or row number and the terminal façade; it makes finding your car much faster in the evening rush when multiple flights arrive into TRV within the same 60–90 minute window.
