EV Charging Stations

4 EV charging bays sit right next to the TRV terminals

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has dedicated EV charging stations set up directly next to the passenger terminal area, so you park and plug in without waiting for a shuttle. The chargers sit in the main car park zone serving T1 and T2, making them usable whether you fly domestic or international.

Parking tariffs at TRV, revised from 15 May 2025, apply here too, so you pay the standard airport parking rate plus any EV charging fee posted on site. The bays share the same entry and exit barriers as regular parking, which sit just off the access road that feeds both terminals.

Charge points are in the same surface lot used for short-stay pick-up and drop-off, within a few minutes’ walk of both T1 and T2 doors. That walk stays under 200–300 meters for most spaces in this zone, so you can handle luggage without needing a trolley the whole way.

Because chargers sit next to the terminal, these spots turn over faster than the long-stay rows further back in the lot. Expect higher demand during evening bank waves, especially around international departures from T2 between 19:00 and 23:00, when more drivers try to leave cars plugged in overnight.

Plan your timing around your state of charge: arrive 30–40 minutes earlier than you normally would to find a free bay, plug in, and move the car to a regular slot if you expect to be away longer than your charging session.
