₹500 per day to park right next to the terminals

Short Stay Parking at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport sits directly beside the terminal complex, within a 5-minute walk of both T1 and T2. This is the signed “Short Stay” area you see as you approach the terminal access road, before the longer-term and bus parking zones.

The current daily rate is ₹500 per day, updated in the May 2025 tariff revision published by TRV. That flat daily price works best for stays of 24 hours or less, or quick overnight trips where you want your car close and don’t want to think about taxis or app cabs on both ends.

This is a standard open-air car park with marked bays, set up for short stay use rather than long-term storage. Because it sits next to the terminal buildings, walking time from your car to the T1 or T2 entrance averages about 5 minutes at normal pace, even if you end up in the rows furthest from the doors.

Short Stay Parking works especially well for drop-offs that might run long: meeting arriving family, handling baggage issues, or waiting out minor delays of 1–3 hours. With the ₹500 daily cap, you avoid the meter anxiety of per-hour street parking, while staying close enough to walk in and out of the terminal multiple times.

There are no shuttle buses here because you don’t need them; the layout puts the parking directly alongside the terminal access loop. If you are flying out of T2 on an early-morning international departure, plan your arrival so you are parked and walking in at least 90 minutes before your scheduled check-in cut-off.
