General P1

On-site short and long stay

50–100 meters from T1, this is the airport’s General P1

General P1 at Tenerife Sur (TFS) sits on-site by T1, signed as the main short and long stay car park for departures. You park in an open-air, surfaced lot and then walk straight to the terminal doors in roughly 2–3 minutes. No shuttle, no waiting, and you keep your keys.

This is airport-operated parking, right next to T1 check-in for all airlines using Tenerife Sur. It works for anything from a quick drop that runs over 1 hour through to holidays of 7–14 days or more. Spaces are standard size, with marked lanes and numbered rows to help you find the car again when you land back on a late-night arrival from the UK or mainland Spain.

Pricing at General P1 typically runs higher than remote off-site fields but lower than curbside premium; think in the bracket of paying extra for the 2–3 minute walk versus a 10–15 minute transfer. You pay on exit at automated machines or a manned desk, using card or cash in euros. Keep your entry ticket dry and flat so the barrier scanner reads it quickly when you leave.

Security cameras cover the lanes, and lighting runs across the lot for early morning Ryanair and easyJet departures that hit check-in around 04:00–06:00. There is no covered section here, so cars sit in full Canary Islands sun that can be strong even in December. If you care about interiors, throw a cheap reflective windscreen shade in the boot before you drive to T1.

Post your location: snap a photo of the nearest row number or payment machine in General P1 before you walk to T1, then drop it in your notes so you’re not wandering the lot with luggage after a late landing.
