30 minutes is usually enough for Express Parking at TFS T1
Express Parking at Tenerife Sur Airport T1 is mainly for quick drop-offs and pick-ups, not for long stays. It sits by the main terminal access road, a short walk from the departures entrance of Terminal 1. Use it if you’re just dropping someone at check-in or collecting arriving passengers with hand luggage.
This area typically works on a short free period, then charges per minute or per 10–15 minutes after that; check the current tariff on the on-site boards before you leave the car. Barriers at entry and exit read your ticket, so keep the ticket handy and don’t leave it in the car if someone else is driving out.
Express Parking is closer to the T1 doors than the general car parks and usually cuts walking time to under 5 minutes. It’s surfaced and marked, but spaces can feel tight when flights from the UK and mainland Spain bank around similar times in the afternoon. Drop passengers and luggage at the terminal curb first if you’re arriving in peak hours, then swing back into Express Parking if you need to wait.
Use Express Parking if your pick-up is timed for a specific flight number and you’re tracking the arrival. If baggage on that flight often runs 20–30 minutes late, stay off-airport at a nearby petrol station or lay-by and only drive into the Express area once the plane shows “bags in hall” on the screens.
Tip: Screenshot the Express Parking price board at T1 when you arrive so you can keep an eye on how many paid minutes you’re burning while you wait at Tenerife Sur.
