3-minute walk from T1: Premium Parking at RGN

Premium Parking sits directly in front of Yangon International Airport’s T1, with similar walking time to T2 and T3 at around 4–6 minutes depending on your pace. It’s ground-level, open-air parking, so you pull straight off the airport access road and into a marked entry lane. Pay stations sit near the pedestrian exits, so you settle the bill before walking over to departures.

Rates here run higher than the regular public lots, but you’re paying to be closest to the terminal doors and cut a few minutes from the curb drop. This is short-stay territory: think same-day returns, quick domestic hops, or drop-off/pick-up where the car might sit for 2–6 hours. For true long-stay (multi-day) parking, locals tend to look at off-airport options along Pyay Road instead.

Premium Parking serves all three terminals at RGN: T1 for mostly international flights, T2 as the newer south-side international terminal, and T3 handling domestic traffic. If you’re flying out of T3, expect a 5-minute walk with basic sidewalk cover most of the way; in heavy rain you’ll still get wet between rows. There’s no dedicated shuttle loop, so you’re on foot the entire distance from your space to check-in.

Payment typically runs via cash in Myanmar kyat at staffed booths, with some reports of cards accepted but not always reliably during system outages. Keep small notes on hand; getting change for large 10,000 MMK bills can slow you down. There’s no reserved-bay system, so first-come-first-served applies, and peak bank times run 06:00–09:00 and 18:00–21:00 around major regional departures.

Practical tip: aim to park in the row closest to your actual terminal (T1, T2, or T3) and snap a photo of the row marker plus the terminal sign; it saves you a 5–10 minute hunt in the heat when you get back.
