T1

Opposite gate 3 in T1, Boutiques is OAX’s fashion stop

This small fashion shop sits airside in Terminal 1, just past central security and across from gate 3. It stocks women’s and men’s clothing with a Mexican tilt: embroidered blouses, lightweight dresses, and casual shirts that work for 28–30°C Oaxaca afternoons and still look pulled together when you land in MEX or TJU. Expect airport pricing; simple tops start around 400–600 MXN, with dresses and jackets running higher.

Boutiques keeps typical OAX hours, opening shortly after the first morning departures around 06:00 and usually trading until the last evening flights clear, often near 21:00–22:00. The footprint is small, closer to a large corner shop than a department store, so sizes can be hit-or-miss. Still, if your suitcase missed weight by a kilo and you left a jacket at home, you can grab something passable here in under 10 minutes.

Stock leans dressy-casual Mexican resort style rather than hardcore outdoor gear. You’ll see sandals, light scarves, and bags that work in Centro Histórico, not trail shoes for Hierve el Agua. Quality is mixed: some pieces are clearly fast fashion, others look more like the 700–900 MXN items you’d find in Oaxaca’s boutiques around Macedonio Alcalá. Check seams and zippers before paying; returns post‑flight are unrealistic.

Card payment is standard and prices ring up in pesos, though your bank may offer MXN or dynamic USD conversion. Lines rarely run more than 3–4 people, even on peak Friday evenings. If you land early and need clothes for a same‑day dinner in the Centro, walk here first, then head to the small snack stands near gate 5 so you’re not choosing outfits with a boarding call in your ear.
