Gate-side in T1, Accessories fills the fashion gap at OAX

In Terminal T1 at Oaxaca Xoxocotlán (OAX), Accessories is the small fashion shop you pass on the way to the main domestic gates. It sits airside, after security, so you don’t need to factor in extra screening time to pop in. The footprint is compact, think 5–10 minutes to scan everything, which works for short connections or a quick browse before boarding calls start.

Expect basic fashion items rather than luxury labels: scarves, costume jewelry, sunglasses, and a few bags under typical airport gift-shop pricing. Stock leans toward impulse buys and last-minute fixes, so this is more “I forgot something” than “planned shopping spree.” You won’t see big international fashion brands here, and nothing feels precious enough that you’d stress about cramming it into an overhead bin on a full A320.

Hours roughly track T1’s first and last departures, so you’ll usually find the lights on from early-morning check-ins around 05:00 until the last flights toward Mexico City and beyond in the late evening. Don’t count on it for a 23:30 shop; this isn’t a 24-hour duty free. If a storm pushes delays past midnight, shutters tend to come down once most restaurants in T1 start closing.

Use Accessories to patch a missing item before a multi-leg day: grab sunglasses before a bright mid-day arrival, a light scarf for an over-air-conditioned 737, or a simple gift if you skipped the markets in Centro. Quick tip: walk by on your way to the gate, clock anything you might want, then loop back after checking your flight’s actual boarding time on the nearest screen.
