P6

Economy outdoor

10-15 minutes on foot from T1: that’s P6.

P6 sits in the economy zone of Marseille Provence Airport, about a 10–15 minute walk from Terminal 1 and a bit less from Terminal 2 if you cut straight across the access roads. It’s fully outdoor, ground-level parking with standard bays, so no height restrictions, making it a straightforward choice for taller vehicles and roof boxes.

This lot is sold as an economy option and usually prices lower than the closer P1/P3 garages when you book online in advance through the airport’s system. It’s not barrier-free; you take a ticket at entry and pay at one of the automatic machines near the pedestrian exits before returning to your car. Keep the ticket dry; the machines occasionally struggle with bent or damp tickets.

P6 is signposted on the main access road as “P6 Économie” with blue parking symbols and arrows pointing toward the more distant car parks. Once you park, you’ll find pedestrian paths leading toward T1 Hall A and Hall B, with wayfinding signs every 100–150 meters. At typical walking speed, plan 12 minutes to the T1 check-in counters and around 8–10 minutes if you’re flying from low-cost carriers in T2.

Lighting poles run through each row in P6 and stay on overnight, which helps for early departures before 06:00 or late returns after 22:00. There’s no shade or canopies, so in July and August your car sits in full Provençal sun for days at a time; use a windshield screen if you’re leaving it for a week. Snow is very rare at MRS, but on windy days grit and dust can build up on the car.

There is no dedicated shuttle loop for P6 like some long-stay fields at larger hubs, so you are committing to the walk with luggage. If you have two bags of 23 kg each or young kids, drop them at T1 or T2 with one person, then the driver heads to P6 alone and walks back. Build in an extra 15 minutes to your usual airport arrival time to make this painless.
