P1

Short-stay

Three-minute walk from Terminal 1, P1 is the closest car park

P1 sits directly opposite Marseille Provence Airport Terminal 1 (T1), roughly a 3–5 minute walk to the main departures doors. It’s the official short-stay car park, so think drop-offs, weekend trips, and quick business runs rather than long holidays. Access follows the airport ring road signs for “P1 Courte Durée,” immediately after the T1 drop-off area.

This is a barrier-controlled, open-air car park with marked spaces on several rows just across from T1 Hall A and Hall B. Being short-stay, pricing runs higher than P3 or P7, but keeps walking time to a minimum if you’re carrying hand baggage or travelling with kids. Stays of a few hours, a day, or a couple of days usually make the most sense here; for a full week, the long-stay lots generally come out cheaper.

P1 mainly serves Terminal 1 airlines, but it’s still workable for T2 if you don’t mind a longer walk. Expect around 8–10 minutes on foot to reach Terminal 2 (T2) from P1, using the signed pedestrian paths alongside the access roads. All walking routes are step-free, useful if you’re rolling a large suitcase or using a stroller.

Payment runs through the standard airport system, with ticket-on-entry and machines near the pedestrian exits. You can usually pay with coins, notes, or bank card, then exit through the automatic barriers within about 10–15 minutes of paying. Look for the pay stations closest to the T1 arrivals doors, so you’re not backtracking with luggage.

Final tip: if you’re doing a quick pickup, check the posted grace period at the entrance barrier; P1 sometimes gives a short free window, which can save you a few euros for sub-10–15 minute stops.
