P4

Long-stay

10–15 minutes from terminals, P4 is MRS’s long-stay workhorse

P4 sits on the airport ring road, roughly a 10–15 minute walk or short shuttle ride from terminals T1 and T2, and it’s the main long-stay option at Marseille Provence. It’s an open-air, surface car park with marked spaces and numbered zones, so you can pin your row before you roll your suitcase away from the car.

This is the long-duration car park, so pricing works out better for trips of 3 days or more compared with the closer P1 and P6. Advance online booking through the official airport system usually shaves a few euros per day off the drive-up rate, which adds up quickly on week-long holidays. Keep your booking QR code handy at the barrier; it reads both printed confirmations and phone screens.

P4 is outside both T1 and T2 but still within the secured airport perimeter, so you stay on airport property the whole time. Depending on which zone you park in, you’re typically looking at around 800–1,000 meters on foot to T1 check-in, and slightly less to T2. If you’re travelling with big checked bags, the airport shuttle loop is the calmer option; it links P4 with both terminals during operating hours published on the MRS website.

Lighting columns run throughout P4 and there are CCTV cameras covering the main lanes, though this is still a standard open car park with no individual bay security. Height limits at the entry barrier matter if you’re in a tall van or roof-box setup, so check the posted meter clearance at the gate before you commit. There are marked pedestrian paths toward T1 and T2; follow the painted footprints and overhead signs so you’re not walking in traffic lanes.

Tip: Snap a quick photo of your row number and nearest zone sign in P4 before you walk off; it saves a 10-minute hunt when you land back at MRS after dark.
