Terraza by The Grand Lounge Elite

T1

T1’s Terraza by The Grand Lounge Elite acts as the spillover room when the main Grand Lounge Elite gets busy.

This space sits airside in Terminal T1 and usually appears in Priority Pass as a separate lounge option from Grand Lounge Elite. Think of it as the satellite room: same general operator, smaller footprint, and an open terrace-style seating area that faces into the terminal rather than the apron. If your Priority Pass entry at T1 shows multiple Grand Lounge Elite options, Terraza is the one labeled specifically as "Terraza by The Grand Lounge Elite."

Access runs through Priority Pass and other lounge membership programs tied into the Grand Lounge Elite network in T1. You must already be through security in Terminal 1; there’s no landside access and no way to use it from T2 without re-clearing. If your airline flies from T2 (Aeroméxico, for example), this lounge in T1 is not practical due to terminal separation and transfer time.

Hours published via Priority Pass often show early-morning opening that lines up with T1 departures, typically starting around the first wave of 05:00–06:00 flights, but they do shift occasionally, so check your app on the day. Like most contract lounges at MEX, closing usually tracks the late-evening departures rather than running 24 hours, so don’t bank on a 02:00 stay during the quiet overnight window.

Food and drink details are thin: regulars on major forums mention Grand Lounge Elite in T1 far more than Terraza, and concrete dish names or bar brands almost never appear in Terraza-specific reports. Expect the usual Mexican contract lounge template (a small buffet, some snacks, and house drinks) rather than a full restaurant service. If you want a sure thing for a proper meal, many frequent flyers still grab tacos or a torta from T1 food courts before heading into any MEX lounge.

Think of Terraza as a backup seat, not a destination. If you see a line at the main Grand Lounge Elite or the app shows that space near capacity, walking a few extra minutes to the Terraza-branded location in T1 can save you from standing at the bar or hunting for a power outlet. The practical play: check both Grand Lounge Elite entries in your Priority Pass app in T1 and walk to whichever one shows the shortest wait or more recent capacity updates.
