Grand Lounge Elite

T1 Open · 24/7

Hot dishes from a real kitchen at 3 a.m.? That’s Grand Lounge Elite.

In Terminal T1 at MEX, Grand Lounge Elite runs 24/7 and functions as the anything-goes Priority Pass contract lounge where the smart move is ordering from the kitchen, not grazing the buffet. It sits airside in T1, so you need a same-day boarding pass and Priority Pass (or walk-in pay access when space allows) to get in.

The headline: there’s a full kitchen in the back, and made-to-order food and drinks are included once you’re inside. A YouTube reviewer ordered multiple hot dishes and cocktails here without extra charges, while the small self-serve section stayed mostly untouched. Think eggs or chilaquiles in the morning and simple hot plates later in the day, not just stale pastries and chips.

From roughly 06:00 to 11:00 a dedicated breakfast menu runs out of that kitchen, according to regulars who time their visits for it. During those hours you can usually get fresh eggs, Mexican breakfast plates and coffee drinks made on request, while the buffet holds a few cold items and basic breads. After 11:00 the staff switch to daytime dishes, with simple mains and bar snacks.

The bar is part of the draw: alcohol is included, and travellers report ordering multiple cocktails, beer and basic spirits here at all hours. You can ask for classic mixed drinks or stick with straight tequila or mezcal if you’re trying local options in Terminal 1 before a late departure. Soft drinks, juice and coffee are self-serve or poured by staff depending on how busy it is.

Seating runs the usual contract-lounge mix of armchairs and small tables, with power outlets scattered but not at every seat in T1. Wi‑Fi is free once you log in with the lounge password, and speeds are good enough for streaming a short YouTube clip or handling email during an overnight layover. Lighting stays on all night, so eye mask and noise-cancelling headphones help if you plan to doze.

What regulars do: skip the snack counter, grab a seat, and immediately flag staff for the made-to-order menu, especially between 06:00 and 11:00 for breakfast or during main meal windows for hot local dishes. Many treat this lounge plus Grand Lounge 19 as the two main Priority Pass choices in MEX T1 and pick this one when they want fresh food over grazing.

Practical tip: if you land in T1 on a late arrival and have hours to kill, head straight here, claim a seat near an outlet, and order from the kitchen as soon as you sit down; dishes can take 10–20 minutes during peak times.
