Gate 19 in T1 has three lounges in one short corridor.
The American Airlines Admirals Club in Terminal 1 sits just off Gate 19, right beside the United Club and a Priority Pass lounge, so you can compare doors before you commit. It’s inside security in T1, used mainly by American and oneworld passengers on flights to the U.S. and a few regional routes. Figure about a 10-minute walk from the Gate 30 area that United and Air Canada often use, so build that into any tight connection math.
Hours tend to track American’s first and last departures from T1, roughly early morning to late evening, but check the AA app for the day’s exact schedule before you trek down from Gate 30 or beyond. Access normally covers Admirals Club members, qualifying oneworld status holders, and premium-cabin tickets on oneworld flights departing Terminal 1. If you’re already in T2 with Aeroméxico or SkyTeam, don’t try to cross over just for this club; the inter-terminal transfer and extra security lines can easily eat 40–60 minutes.
Older FlyerTalk posts group this lounge with the United Club and the nearby Priority Pass option by Gate 19 as “the older VIP rooms,” so set expectations accordingly. Seating is mostly standard armchairs with side tables, fine for a 60–90 minute layover but not a place to camp for a workday. Wi‑Fi is typically faster than the public MEX network, enough for email and video calls, and power outlets appear in small clusters; don’t expect a plug at every seat, so grab one if you spot it open.
Food is basic lounge fare, skewing toward cold snacks and lighter bites rather than hot plated meals; think small sandwiches, chips, and simple salads if you arrive around midday. Drinks usually include self-serve soft drinks, coffee machines, and a bar with standard spirits and Mexican beers, with premium labels extra or limited to certain cardholders. If you need a real meal, you’re better off grabbing tacos or a full plate from one of the restaurants around Gates 15–22 and then using the club for Wi‑Fi and seating.
Practical tip: if you’re arriving on United or Air Canada into the Gate 30 area and have less than 90 minutes before your next flight, skip the walk to Gate 19 and stay closer to your departure gate; MEX queues and walking distances can stretch that “10-minute walk” into 20–25 minutes door to door.
