24/7 access and paid sleep pods make Dream Box a survival stop

Open 00:00–23:59 in MDE’s international T1, Dream Box sits by the elevator between Gates 10 and 11. Think of it as overnight shelter with lounge branding: seats, basic snacks, and an option to pay extra for a small sleep pod instead of roaming the terminal all night.

The lounge sits airside in the main international departures area, after immigration and security, so you need a departing or connecting boarding pass from T1. Priority Pass lists Dream Box as a partner, and walk-in access is possible, but the individual sleep pods carry a separate fee on top of your entry or membership swipe.

Global Lounge Network advertises it as sleek, but expat reviews call it a place to “crash on a long layover.” Food is very limited—think simple bites rather than a real meal—which is why locals often suggest eating in the public area first and heading into the lounge only for a late flight leaving from gates 10–14.

The unique feature here is the small private sleep pods, available by the hour for an extra charge (exact price varies and is usually posted at the desk). Regulars only pay for a pod on long layovers or when stuck overnight; otherwise they just grab a reclining chair and use the standard seating until boarding starts.

Wi‑Fi is the other weak point. Expats repeatedly call the signal in the international lounge slow and unreliable, so frequent flyers pre‑download Netflix episodes or work files at their hotel or at another hotspot in T1 before riding the elevator up between gates 10 and 11.

Because Dream Box is one of the few 24‑hour Priority Pass options in Colombia outside Bogotá, people on late-night departures sometimes clear immigration earlier than needed just to claim a seat. You’ll see chargers in constant use, power strips along a few walls, and passengers sleeping in hoodies and eye masks from about 23:00–05:00.

Tip: Eat in the main terminal, download your shows on the regular MDE Wi‑Fi near check‑in, then head to Dream Box mainly for a chair, bathroom access, and, if your layover stretches past three hours, a paid pod between Gates 10 and 11.
