First EV spots fill near T3 and T4 in the morning

The EV Charging Area at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) serves electric cars parking near terminals T3 and T4. Spaces sit in the main airport parking complex, so you can walk to departures in roughly 5–10 minutes depending on the row you choose. Signage at HGH is in Chinese with English underneath, and the EV area is clearly marked with green ground paint and “EV” symbols.

Chargers run on standard Chinese mainland connectors, so plan for GB/T compatibility rather than Type 2 or CCS. Power levels and exact stall counts can vary by section, but this is a dedicated zone for electric vehicles only, not mixed with gasoline cars. Payment usually runs through the same QR-based apps used in Hangzhou city garages; keep WeChat Pay or Alipay ready before you arrive at the airport.

Parking here bills at the same general rate band as other airport car parks at HGH, calculated by the hour and capped by a daily maximum. You pay separately for energy drawn at the charger, shown on the screen or in the connected app in renminbi (RMB). Short trips of under 24 hours tend to be cheaper overall than using city-center valet options once you factor in a ride back to T1, T2, T3, or T4.

Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than you normally would, especially at peak times like weekend mornings and Sunday nights. That buffer covers finding a free EV bay, scanning the QR code on the charger column, and confirming the session has actually started. Take a photo of your parking row number and column sign before walking toward your terminal; it saves you 10 minutes of wandering when you land back at HGH.
