Terminal T2 hosts 5 airlines. You'll find 7 dining options, 3 lounges, 8 shops here.
Six or seven gates cover almost all of T2’s traffic
International flights at Da Nang use Terminal 2 (the International Terminal), a small, modern building that stays quiet because Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, China Southern, and Malaysia Airlines only run a limited number of daily departures. Arrivals and departures are stacked on two levels, with check-in and immigration upstairs and baggage claim and customs below, so factor in one extra elevator or escalator ride if you land with heavy bags.
Check-in for Korean Air and Singapore Airlines typically lines up along the middle islands, while Jetstar Pacific and China Southern often use counters closer to the sides; screens over each row call out airline and flight number. Security and outbound immigration sit directly behind the check-in area and usually clear in 15–25 minutes outside the early-evening bank of flights, when several departures can hit the scanners at once.
CIP Orchid Priority Pass lounge sits airside in T2
The CIP Orchid Lounge in Terminal 2 takes Priority Pass and sits airside after immigration, up a level from the main departures concourse near the center gates. Reports put it as the main lounge option for international passengers, with access based on card programs or premium cabin tickets rather than any one alliance. If you plan to use it before a Korean Air or Singapore Airlines flight, board about 30 minutes before gate time since walking from the lounge to the farthest gate takes 5–7 minutes.
Vietnam Airlines also runs a Lotus Lounge in the international zone, mainly serving its own and some partner business-class passengers on regional routes. Alongside that, signage can show both “Orchid CIP Lounge” and “Orchid Lounge,” so follow the T2 airside lounge arrows and then check the door logo for Priority Pass, DragonPass, or airline invitations. Figure on grabbing a quick bowl of noodles and a drink, then moving to the gate when your flight number flips to “boarding.”
Highlands Coffee anchors one side of departures
For coffee and snacks in T2, Highlands Coffee sits on the departures level with Vietnamese-style iced coffee and light bites, and it typically charges airport-level prices compared with city branches. Puro Gusto, Café Amazon, Costa Coffee, Star Café, and Congo Coffee round out the caffeine lineup along the concourse, so you can walk 2–3 minutes from most gates and still grab a last espresso before a Singapore Airlines or Malaysia Airlines departure.
Lucky Restaurant covers sit-down meals, with Vietnamese staples and some basic Western dishes priced higher than downtown Da Nang but reasonable by airport standards. Portions run large enough to share, and it’s on the airside departures level, so you clear immigration and security first, then eat without clock-watching for another checkpoint. Figure 45–60 minutes if you want a full meal there before a Korean Air evening flight.
Duty free and souvenirs line the central spine
Airimex Duty Free and Nasco Duty Free sit near the middle of the airside concourse, with liquor, perfume, and cigarettes aimed at outbound passengers on China Southern, Korean Air, and other regional carriers. For local gifts, the Local Handicraft Shop and ACV Souvenir Shop stock silk items, coffee, and packaged snacks that fit easily into cabin bags; expect to pay a few dollars more per item than in town, but you save the extra taxi ride.
Non-gift basics come from the Mini Mart, Sasco Shop, and the pharmacy, all clustered within a 3–4 minute walk of any gate. If you forgot reading material, Bookstore Fahasa offers Vietnamese and some English-language titles plus travel guides, handy before a long Singapore Airlines sector out of Da Nang. For last-minute meds or bandages, hit the pharmacy before you head up to the CIP Orchid Lounge so you don’t have to backtrack.
One practical tip
Build the buffer: for an international departure out of T2 on Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, China Southern, or Malaysia Airlines, plan to be at the check-in counters 2 hours before departure so you can clear security, grab Highlands Coffee or Lucky Restaurant, and still have 30–40 minutes left to sit in the CIP Orchid or Lotus lounge without clock stress.
