Gate-side books in T2
Directly in Da Nang’s international Terminal T2, Bookstore Fahasa is your last-minute stop for something to read on the flight. It sits airside after security, so you don’t need to budget extra time to backtrack. Expect mostly Vietnamese titles, with a smaller shelf of English-language paperbacks and some kids’ books that work even if you don’t speak the language.
Prices sit close to downtown Da Nang shop levels, not inflated like some airport souvenir stands in T2. You’ll find pocket-sized novels under 150,000 VND and magazines for under 80,000 VND. Stationery runs from basic pens at around 10,000 VND to gift notebooks in the 60,000–120,000 VND range. Pay in cash (VND) or by card; cards are accepted but sometimes run a bit slower than the cashier.
Stock skews toward mainstream Vietnamese fiction, exam-prep style reference books, and manga, with a few English bestsellers rotated through each season in T2. Kids’ comics and coloring books take up a surprising amount of shelf space, handy if your flight to Seoul, Tokyo, or Singapore runs over 4 hours. You’ll also see standard airport extras: postcards, small toys, and simple travel accessories like neck pillows and eye masks.
Hours roughly track T2’s international bank: the shop opens for the morning departures wave around 06:00 and stays open through the late-evening outbound flights, often past 22:00. If you’re tight on time before a boarding call at a mid-teen gate, walk in with one title in mind and a 5-minute limit; the shelves are compact enough to make that work.
