Local Handicraft Shop

T2

Just past security in T2, Local Handicraft Shop is one of the few spots in Da Nang International Airport focused purely on Vietnamese souvenirs. It sits airside in the international terminal, so you can shop after passport control without watching the check-in line. Expect compact floor space, but enough shelves to cover last-minute gifts in under 10 minutes.

Prices run mid-range for an airport: small keychains and magnets often hover around 30,000–60,000 VND, with handwoven items and lacquer pieces climbing higher. You’ll see classic Vietnam staples like bamboo crafts, simple silk accessories, and printed T-shirts clearly tagged in VND, which helps when you’re burning off the last 100,000 in your wallet before boarding. Card payment is usually available, but cash speeds things up if a tour group lands.

Most items are clearly tourist-focused, so think quick gifts rather than museum-quality art. Stock can feel repetitive across shelves—similar designs on magnets, bags, and small wooden trinkets—but that helps if you need multiple copies of the same present for coworkers. Because this is in T2, don’t expect much tailored to domestic routes out of T1, and plan to shop here only if your boarding pass actually says “Terminal 2.”

Tip: stop here before you head to your T2 gate, not right before boarding; lines at nearby coffee stands can stall you for 5–10 minutes once the final call starts.
