Lucky Restaurant

T2

T2’s airside Lucky Restaurant barely appears in trip reports

In Da Nang’s international Terminal T2, Lucky Restaurant sits airside past security, but almost no recent flyers mention it by name. That alone tells you it’s a backup option, not a destination. If you’ve cleared immigration and don’t want to walk back toward the main food court near gates 6–8, this is one of the few sit-down names you’ll see.

Hours aren’t posted clearly online, and with DAD’s late-night departures to Seoul and Tokyo from T2, you should assume Lucky follows flight banks rather than a strict 24-hour schedule. If you’re on an early-morning departure before 07:00 or a red-eye after 23:00, have a snack from home in case it’s dark. Inside security on T2, there are limited alternatives once you pass the main retail cluster.

Pricing at similar T2 airside spots runs around 80,000–150,000 VND for basic rice or noodle dishes and 40,000–70,000 VND for soft drinks or coffee, so expect Lucky to land in that band or a bit higher. That’s still cheaper than in-flight buy-on-board from some carriers flying out of Da Nang, especially on short routes under three hours where you might not get a full meal.

Menu details for Lucky Restaurant don’t show up in any 2023–2024 reviews, which usually means standard Vietnamese airport fare: pho, fried rice, perhaps banh mi, plus basic Western plates like fries or a club sandwich. If you have under 45 minutes before boarding at a nearby T2 gate, stick to simple stir-fry or pre-made items; anything grilled or baked may cut it too close for a typical 25–30 minute prep time.

Use Lucky Restaurant as a time buffer: eat here only if your gate in T2 is already posted on the screens and you’ve got at least an hour before departure. Otherwise, grab something earlier landside in Da Nang or in T1 before transferring over to the international terminal shuttle area.
