Priority Pass access in T2 gets you into Orchid CIP Lounge

This is the main contract lounge for international flights in Terminal 2, sitting on the mezzanine by Gates 5–7 and open 24 hours a day. It takes Priority Pass, Diners Club and paid walk-up, and on paper there’s a 3-hour stay limit that staff mostly push during the late-night departure banks.

You reach the lounge right after immigration and security in T2: instead of walking straight down the pier, take the nearby escalator upstairs toward the mezzanine above Gates 5–7. That placement means you can clear formalities, head straight up, then leave yourself about 5–7 minutes to walk back down to most international gates when it’s time to board.

Food is self-serve buffet style, with the strongest spread typically from late afternoon into late evening before the international waves. Expect hot Vietnamese staples like noodles, fried rice and dim sum, plus simple snacks; reviews call it substantial for a regional airport but note that midday trays can be lukewarm or picked over, and some dishes look better than they taste.

Drinks are basic but do the job: canned soft drinks, juices, coffee from a machine, tea and a limited selection of alcohol that varies by day. Don’t expect craft cocktails; think simple beer and spirits. If you care about specific labels, buy something in the T2 duty free downstairs and just rely on the lounge for glassware and ice.

Seating runs in rows along the windows and walls, with plenty of two-top armchairs and a few higher tables near the buffet. Power outlets line many wall seats, and Wi‑Fi is usually strong enough for streaming and work, so laptop users tend to grab the side sections first. During late-night banks, reviewers report the room can feel full and staff sometimes cap Priority Pass entry.

There’s a separate smoking room tucked inside the lounge, and multiple guests mention cigarette smell leaking into nearby seats, especially when the lounge is packed. If you’re sensitive to smoke, avoid the cluster of seats nearest that door and pick a spot toward the opposite end overlooking the gate area instead.

Showers sit inside or adjacent to the restrooms and come with packaged towels and basic toiletries. They’re not always prepped, so regulars ask at reception as soon as they enter; staff may need 5–10 minutes to unlock and clean between users, particularly during off-peak mid-morning or mid-day periods.

One last tip: time your visit for mid-afternoon or early evening if you can. That’s when food turnover is better, crowds are lighter than the 23:00–02:00 rush, and your Priority Pass or Diners card is least likely to be turned away for capacity.
