Staff Parking at CAI sits landside and is restricted
Staff Parking at Cairo International Airport sits on the landside road system serving terminals 1, 2, 3, and Seasonal, but it is not open to the public. Access is limited to airport staff and authorized vehicles, so don’t plan on using it as overflow if the regular public lots look busy.
This restricted area functions more like an employee car park than a traveller option, with entry controlled by staff IDs or permits issued by airport authorities at CAI. If you pull in without the right authorization, security will turn you around and direct you back to the signed public parking for your terminal.
Unlike the main multi‑storey parking near Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, Staff Parking doesn’t post public daily or hourly rates, and you won’t find payment machines or ticket booths set up for casual users. Charges, if any, are handled through internal billing for employees and contractors working at Cairo International Airport.
Signage on the approach roads around terminals 1, 2, 3, and Seasonal makes the split clear: public parking uses the standard P-designations, while Staff Parking is marked for employees and official vehicles only. Follow the public P signs for your terminal instead of trusting older GPS data, which sometimes routes drivers toward restricted airport zones.
One practical tip: when you enter the CAI road loop, set your navigation to the exact public car park for your terminal (for example, Terminal 3 parking) rather than just “Cairo Airport,” so you don’t get steered toward Staff Parking or other restricted areas that you can’t actually use.
