Daily rates here usually beat the terminal garages by a lot
Economy Parking at Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the long-stay option if you’re leaving the car for several days or more. It sits outside the main terminal cluster that serves Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Seasonal terminal, so plan a few extra minutes to reach check-in. This lot is basic, open-air, and built around price, not frills.
Long-stay here typically works best once you cross the 24-hour mark, compared with shorter-stay areas closer to Terminals 1, 2, and 3. You pay on exit at staffed or automated booths, with pricing calculated per calendar day or part-day, not per hour like some terminal-side options. Bring small notes or a working card; machines in Egyptian airports can be picky.
Shuttles or airport taxis usually bridge the gap between Economy Parking and the terminal complex, which covers Terminals 1, 2, 3 and the Seasonal terminal. Factor in at least 15–20 minutes from locking your car to standing at a check-in desk, assuming light traffic at CAI’s access roads. Add more time around peak EgyptAir banks in T3 and Hajj/Umrah periods for the Seasonal terminal.
Security at the airport perimeter means you may hit a vehicle screening point before entering areas that feed Economy Parking. That adds a few minutes, especially at night when more cars arrive for early-morning departures out of Terminal 3 or regional flights from Terminal 2. Keep your parking ticket somewhere you can grab fast for exit checks.
Tip: Screenshot your exact pin location once you park, and note the nearest shuttle stop or landmark number; CAI’s long-stay areas can feel like one big grid after a 10-day trip.
