Gate-side tech stop in Terminal 1
Just past security in Terminal 1, Electronics and Gadgets is the quick fix when you realize your charger or adapter is still at home. It sits along the main departures shopping strip, so you can see your gate status on nearby screens while you browse. This is airside, so you need a boarding pass in hand before you can reach it.
Expect standard airport pricing: cables and small accessories usually run a bit higher than downtown Taipei shops, but still under NT$1,000 for basics like USB-C or Lightning cords. You’ll also find travel adapters suitable for both 110V and 220V regions, plus spare power strips that work with Taiwan’s 110V outlets.
The store leans heavily toward practical gear: phone cases for current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, screen protectors, wired and Bluetooth earphones, and compact power banks under the 20,000 mAh limit that airlines out of TSA commonly reference. If you need something to use on the 40–60 minute hop to Kaohsiung, Taichung, or Kinmen, this shop usually has it in stock.
Stock for niche laptops or older phone models can be thin, especially late in the evening after 20:00, when restocking slows and some flights are winding down. If you fly on early morning departures around 06:00–08:00, you’ll often have the shop nearly to yourself and can get a screen protector applied without waiting.
Practical tip: take a photo of your device ports at the gate, then match them in-store so you don’t walk away with the wrong cable five minutes before boarding in Terminal 1.
