Children's Toys Shop

Gate-side toy run in Terminal 1

Right in Taipei Songshan’s Terminal 1, Children's Toys Shop gives you a last-minute way to fix a bored-kid flight before boarding. It sits airside after security, so you can duck in without adding extra walking back to the check-in hall. Think small, airport-style store: quick in-and-out, not a giant mall anchor.

This is the spot in T1 to grab simple toys, puzzles, and small games that actually work in a cramped seat. Most items sit in the modest-gift range rather than luxury prices, so picking up a couple of things usually won’t blow the day’s budget. Stock tends to skew toward easily packed items that fit under 100 ml liquid rules or in a backpack side pocket.

Figure 5–10 minutes here if you already know the age you’re buying for, since the shop footprint is compact and everything is within a few steps. It’s air-conditioned and just off the main Terminal 1 concourse, so you can keep an eye on the time and head back toward your gate without stress.

Use this shop as your backup plan if the Terminal 1 waiting area gets restless and you still have 20–30 minutes before boarding. Walk through once, grab something small that doesn’t make noise, and keep the packaging so you can stash tiny pieces after the flight.
