T2’s Toy Shop sits in the main departures area
This small Toy Shop in Terminal T2 gives families a last-minute stop for kids’ gifts before boarding. You’ll find it airside, past security and passport control, on the way to the gates serving most Schengen and non-Schengen flights from Sofia Airport. Stock leans to classic toys and travel-friendly distractions, so it’s a quick fix if you misjudged how long a flight to London or Frankfurt feels with a bored child.
Prices run higher than downtown Sofia stores, with many branded items sitting in the 15–40 BGN range. Expect plush animals, puzzles, basic building sets, dolls, and a good amount of character merchandise tied to big TV and movie franchises. There are also smaller pocket-money items under 10 BGN that work well as “one per kid” treats before you head to the T2 gates. Nothing rare or collectible here, but enough to patch a forgotten birthday gift.
Because Toy Shop is inside Terminal T2, it only helps if your boarding pass shows T2 on it; passengers flying out of T1 can’t access it after security. The store keeps standard airport hours and usually opens from early morning departures to late-evening flights, roughly matching the first and last bank of check-ins. Stock can thin out on peak holiday weekends, especially on items under 20 BGN.
Plan 5–10 minutes to browse Toy Shop on the way to your T2 gate, so you still reach boarding in time even if the kids linger over the plush rack.
