Relay

T2

Right after T2 security, Relay is your quick grab-stop

Immediately past security in Terminal T2, Relay is the first “news & convenience” shop you hit. Think last-minute magazines, basic travel accessories, and grab-and-go snacks before you head to gates like B5–B10. It’s small, so you’re in and out in under 5 minutes if you know what you want.

Opening hours usually mirror main flight banks in T2, roughly early morning to late evening, but don’t count on it for a 03:00 departure. Prices land higher than downtown Sofia: expect a 0.5L bottle of water around airport rates and snacks at a clear mark-up over city supermarkets.

Stock runs standard Relay: bottled drinks, packaged sweets, chips, gum, and a few sandwiches along with local Bulgarian chocolate brands and basic souvenirs that say “Sofia” or “Bulgaria.” You also get international press, a few English-language papers, and travel-sized toiletries, helpful if your liquids bag blew the 100 ml rule at security.

Watch out for limited powerbank and cable choices; you’ll likely see just a couple of USB-C and Lightning options hanging behind the counter, so don’t expect a full electronics store. Cigarettes and basic SIM/top-up products sometimes sit in the same counter zone, so ask directly if you don’t see them on shelves.

Practical tip: if you need more than water, snacks, and a magazine, combine a 10–15 minute walk through T2 with a stop at Relay first, then check the larger duty free and food options closer to your exact gate.
