Pre-booked hotel shuttles meet you outside T arrivals
Several Skopje hotels run their own minibus shuttle, picking up directly outside the arrivals exit in Terminal T and driving straight to the property. These are usually included in the room rate or charged as a flat fee, often around 10–25 EUR per ride depending on distance from SKP. The big win: your hotel handles the booking and timing, so you skip the taxi line and don’t have to think about bus timetables at 23:00.
Most shuttles operate in connection with scheduled check-in and check-out times, so expect runs concentrated around 10:00–12:00 and 18:00–22:00, with some hotels also sending a minibus for late-night arrivals after 00:00. Vehicles are typically 8–20 seat minibuses, parked in the small bus and shuttle zone about 50–80 meters in front of the terminal doors. If your flight into SKP is delayed by more than 30–40 minutes, the driver usually waits or the hotel adjusts pickup after a quick call.
Prices and conditions vary: some 4-star properties near the city center about 20–25 km away quote a per-person rate of 10–15 EUR, while group bookings with 6–10 passengers often switch to a fixed van price negotiated in advance. A few tour operators serving Lake Ohrid or other regional destinations over 100 km from SKP arrange direct shuttles that can run 60–120 minutes door to door, avoiding a change of bus at Skopje’s main station.
On arrival, you normally find your driver holding a sign with your name or hotel name in the public arrivals hall, roughly 10–20 steps after customs. They usually track your flight number, so always send the correct SKP flight details and scheduled landing time. For morning landings before 07:00 or late departures after 22:00, hotels often ask guests to confirm shuttle use at least 24 hours in advance, sometimes by email with your booking reference number.
One practical tip: ask your hotel in writing to confirm the exact meeting point (for example, “in front of Exit 2 at SKP arrivals” or “by the information desk near baggage belt 1”) and the final price in EUR or MKD before you fly; then screenshot the message so you have it handy even if mobile data stalls on landing.
