P2 charges per calendar day, not by the hour
P2 Long Term Parking at Thessaloniki Airport sits a short walk from the terminal building and bills by the day, not in hourly blocks. It is set up for trips of several days or more, so it makes little sense for a quick drop-and-go. You enter via the signed long-stay entrance near the main access road to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, then follow P2 markings into the gated area.
This is an open-air long-stay car park with marked bays and standard-size spaces, better for normal cars than oversized vans. Pricing is structured by the calendar day, so a car arriving late at night and leaving early a few days later still counts each date on the calendar. Payment machines sit near the pedestrian exits that lead toward the main terminal complex, so you can pay before walking back to your car after landing.
P2 serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with walking time usually around 5–10 minutes depending on your row. There is no separate shuttle dedicated to P2; most travellers simply roll bags along the pedestrian routes that connect straight toward departures. Lighting covers the main lanes and walkways, but your exact bay may be in a dimmer corner, so note your row and nearby pole numbers before you head for check-in.
Long-stay rules here matter: stays run across full days, and short overstays can tip you into another day on the meter. Keep your entry ticket dry and separate from your passport and boarding pass so it does not jam the machine. One practical tip: take a quick phone photo of your car, row marker, and the closest terminal sign so you do not waste 15 minutes hunting in the dark when you land back at SKG.
