Accessible Parking

Reserved bays right next to the SKG terminal

Accessible Parking at Thessaloniki Airport sits directly next to the main terminal buildings, so you roll from car to check-in in just a few minutes. Spaces are marked for disabled drivers and passengers, with priority positions closest to the entrances for Terminals 1 and 2. This is the shortest walking distance you’ll get without pulling into the general drop-off lane.

The area sits in the main terminal forecourt, not in a remote lot, which helps if you’re dealing with heavy luggage or mobility aids. Signage on the approach road points you to the dedicated disabled bays, and ground markings highlight the reserved spaces. If you’re arriving by adapted vehicle or taxi, drivers can stop directly alongside these bays before you transfer.

Standard airport parking rules apply, so you still use the SKG payment system, but the key benefit here is proximity rather than a special tariff. The bays are laid out with extra width compared with regular spaces in the main car park, giving you proper space to open doors fully or use a ramp. That extra side clearance matters if you’re loading wheelchairs, medical equipment or child seats.

There’s no staffed booth inside the Accessible Parking area itself, so any issues go through the main airport information desks in the terminal. Because these spaces sit right by the doors, they can fill up at peak bank times around early-morning departures. If you’re on a tight schedule, aim to arrive 20–30 minutes earlier than usual so you have time to find a nearby alternative bay if needed.
