Airport EV Parking Zone

EV charging

10 EV chargers sit in the Airport EV Parking Zone

The Airport EV Parking Zone at Thessaloniki Airport SKG offers 10 dedicated EV charging points in a marked area of the main parking facilities. This zone serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, so you can leave the car plugged in regardless of which terminal you fly from. It’s in the official airport car park, not an off-site lot, which keeps walking time to check-in short.

Charging is available 24/7, in line with the Thessaloniki Airport car park operating hours, so late-night arrivals and early-morning departures are covered. You park, plug into one of the 10 chargers, and then pay at the regular airport parking machines along with your parking ticket. The setup targets short and medium stays rather than long-term storage of the car on charge for weeks.

Pricing follows standard airport parking tariffs plus the EV charging fee, which you settle during exit payment at the automatic pay stations near the terminal doors. The Airport EV Parking Zone uses marked bays, so cars without an electric powertrain are not supposed to occupy these 10 spaces. If the bays are all taken, you’ll need to switch to the general parking area and skip charging for that trip.

This zone sits within walking distance of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 check-in halls, usually under 5–7 minutes on foot depending on where you park within the lane. Signage on the access roads points to the EV section of the car park, using the same style boards as P1 and P2, so watch for the electric plug symbol. Tip: arrive 15–20 minutes earlier than usual in busy summer months to give yourself time to find a free EV bay and connect the cable properly.
