50 meters from the terminal doors, P1 Short Term is the closest car park at SKG
P1 Short Term Parking sits directly in front of Terminal 2 at Thessaloniki Airport, about a 1–2 minute walk from the main departures entrance. It’s the go-to option for quick drop-offs, pick-ups, and short business trips where staying close to the terminal matters more than saving a few euros.
This is an official airport car park, open 24/7 and patrolled, with entry taken via ticket at the barrier and payment at machines before you exit. P1 is set up for short-stay use: pricing is tiered by the hour, so it makes sense for visits under a day rather than week-long holidays. If you’re parking overnight or longer, the airport’s long-term lots usually work out cheaper.
P1 sits on the same level as the terminal forecourt, so you roll your suitcase straight from your car to the departures hall in Terminal 2 in under five minutes, even at the far end of the lot. There’s no shuttle bus, no extra security line, and no waiting around; you park, grab your bags, and walk straight to check-in.
Payment machines are located near pedestrian exits facing Terminal 2, and they take cards as well as cash. Keep the ticket dry and handy; you need it both to pay and to raise the exit barrier. If you’re meeting arriving passengers from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, P1 still works: the terminal buildings sit side by side, and walking from P1 to either arrivals hall takes just a few minutes.
Tip: For quick pick-ups, wait until your passenger is at the curb, then enter P1; paying for 15–30 minutes in this lot is cheaper than looping the access road several times.
