Line 191

Bus

Bus 50 min

50 minutes from the terminals to Zličín on Line 191

Line 191 runs between Václav Havel Airport Prague (T1/T2) and Zličín in roughly 50 minutes, with stops in Řepy and Motol on the way. It’s a standard Prague PID city bus, so you use the same tickets as on the metro and trams, and you board at the marked “191” stops outside the terminal buildings.

At the airport, Line 191 stops near both T1 and T2; look for the yellow PID bus stop signs showing “191” and “Zličín” as the destination. Buses usually run several times per hour during the day, with less frequent service in late evening. Doors open low-floor and level with the curb, which helps if you’re rolling a 23 kg suitcase.

A standard PID 40 CZK ticket covers the full airport–Zličín ride on Line 191 and stays valid for 90 minutes across buses, trams, and metro. You can buy this ticket from the yellow PID machines in the arrivals halls of T1 and T2, at some newsstands, or from the contactless readers on newer buses. Always validate paper tickets in the yellow punch machines inside the bus as soon as you board.

Line 191 connects directly to major transport hubs like Zličín (metro B) on the western edge of Prague and Motol, which can be useful if you’re heading to Prague 5 or 6 instead of the city center. If you’re going downtown (Můstek or Náměstí Republiky on metro B), you’ll usually change at Zličín and continue about 20–25 minutes by metro.

If you arrive on a late flight landing after 23:00, check the PID timetable; Line 191 frequency drops at night, and gaps can hit 30 minutes or more. With luggage, try to board near the middle doors, where you’ll usually find a dedicated luggage space opposite the second door and a fold-up seat row.

Practical tip: buy a 24-hour or 72-hour PID pass at the airport machine before boarding Line 191; one pass covers this bus plus all your metro and tram rides, so you don’t have to think about individual tickets again during your stay.
