Bus to Zličín

Bus to Zličín

24‑minute link from the airport to Metro B at Zličín

Bus 100 runs from Václav Havel Airport Prague (both T1 and T2) straight to Metro line B at Zličín in about 18–24 minutes, traffic depending. The bus stop sits outside the arrivals halls of T1 and T2, signed as “Bus 100 Zličín.” This is the fastest purely public-transport option to reach the yellow Metro line without changing buses.

The bus operates roughly every 15 minutes during the day, with intervals stretching to around 30 minutes in late evening; exact departure times are posted at the stop at T1 and T2. First departures are typically just after 5:30, with the last runs leaving the airport close to midnight, so late arrivals still have a shot at catching it. Check the PID timetable board at the stop for the next departure in minutes.

You need a standard Prague PID ticket for Bus 100, which currently costs 40 CZK for a 90‑minute adult ticket bought from the yellow machines by the exits of T1 and T2. Those airport machines accept cards and coins, and you validate the ticket on board in the orange validator next to the door. The same 90‑minute ticket then covers your onward ride on Metro B from Zličín into the center.

Boarding is front and middle doors; suitcases usually stack in the luggage area opposite the middle door, which has space for several medium checked bags plus carry‑ons. From Zličín station, you ride Metro B about 20–25 minutes to stations like Národní třída or Můstek; count on roughly 40–45 minutes total airport‑to‑center time, including the bus leg. Services use standard city buses, so expect standing room at peak times when flights from the UK and Germany land back‑to‑back.

Step-by-step: Airport to city with Bus 100

  • 1. After baggage claim at T1 or T2, follow signs to “Public transport / Bus” and exit to the forecourt.
  • 2. Find the yellow PID ticket machine near the terminal doors and buy a 40 CZK 90‑minute ticket using card or coins.
  • 3. Walk to the stop marked “100 Zličín” and check the digital board; waits are usually 5–15 minutes daytime.
  • 4. When the bus arrives, board through any door and immediately validate your ticket in the orange validator.
  • 5. Place suitcases in the luggage area by the middle door and stay on for roughly 8–10 stops until the end station, Zličín.
  • 6. At Zličín, follow signs straight down to Metro B, then ride 20–25 minutes toward the city center using the same ticket.

One last tip: if your flight lands after about 23:15, check the current PID timetable before relying on Bus 100; a missed last departure can mean an unplanned taxi or ride‑hail from T1 or T2.
