Holiday Car Park

Economy long-stay

Daily rates here usually undercut on-airport premium parking by a lot.

Holiday Car Park at Melbourne Airport is the economy long-stay option for T1, T2, T3 and T4 flyers who want to leave the car for several days or more. It sits on-airport, so you’re not dealing with off-site shuttles that wander off to hotels or business parks first. Book ahead online and you’ll usually see the best per-day price compared with the terminal car parks right by T1–T3.

The car park runs 24/7, matching MEL’s round-the-clock departures and late-night arrivals into T1, T2, T3 and T4. Barriers are automated, so you just drive up, tap or scan, and park in any unsigned bay. It’s all open-air, so on a hot January day you’re in full sun; in winter, the car can be cold when you get back after a 06:00 arrival into T2.

A dedicated shuttle links Holiday Car Park to all four terminals, usually taking around 5–10 minutes depending on traffic on the MEL forecourt. The stop at the car park is clearly signed, and the bus drops you on the terminal side of the road so you’re close to check-in at T1, T2, T3 or T4. With bags and kids, budget at least 20–25 minutes from locking the car to standing at security.

There are no fuel pumps or car wash facilities inside Holiday Car Park, and no EV chargers in most bays, so sort petrol and charging before you enter. Mark the zone and row number as soon as you park, especially if you’re away for 7–14 days. One simple move: snap a photo of your bay and nearest shuttle stop sign before you wheel the bags to the bus stop.
