Gef

Near Gate 10 in T1, Gef is your grab-and-go snack stop

Right off the main concourse in Terminal 1, Gef sits by the mid-teen gates and focuses on packaged snacks, candy, and bottled drinks. You’ll see the bright logo as you walk toward gates 8–12. It’s post-security, so you can stock up after clearing immigration and before heading to your airline’s boarding area.

Expect standard airport pricing: sodas around 7,000–9,000 COP, small chocolate bars in the 4,000–6,000 COP range, and travel-size sweets a bit higher than in Medellín city shops. The shelves lean heavily toward Colombian brands, so it works if you want last‑minute treats like local chocolates or gummies to bring home. Card payments are accepted and usually run through in under a minute.

Gef here is smaller than their mall branches and skews more toward snacks and impulse buys than full clothing racks. You might see a limited rail of basics like T‑shirts or socks in the 30,000–50,000 COP bracket, but it’s not a full wardrobe stop. Think five‑minute in‑and‑out, not a full shopping session.

Lines spike around the morning departure banks between 5:00–7:30 and again before evening international flights from gates 10–16. If you see a boarding call inside 20 minutes on the screens above the shop, skip browsing and head straight to your gate. Quick tip: pick up water and sweets here, then grab hot food at a sit‑down spot closer to your exact gate so you’re not backtracking across T1.
