Farmatodo

Gate-side prices without city markups at this T1 pharmacy

Farmatodo sits airside in Terminal 1 at José María Córdova (MDE), useful if you forgot meds or toiletries after security. Think full pharmacy plus basic minimart: painkillers, motion-sickness pills, bandages, baby wipes, sunscreen, plus snacks and bottled drinks you can carry onto a domestic flight. Prices track close to city Farmatodo branches, not tourist-souvenir levels, so you’re not getting punished for shopping in the terminal.

Opening hours usually run from early morning bank of departures through late-night flights, roughly covering the 05:00–23:00 window in T1. Stock leans local: Colombian brands for cold medicine, digestive aids, and skincare, with some recognizable international labels mixed in. Expect standard supermarket-style candy and chips rather than gourmet items, and single bottles of water around the same price you’d pay downtown. Staff generally speaks Spanish; English is hit or miss, so keep the product name or photo ready.

Farmatodo does over-the-counter meds and basic pharmacy services but you still need a valid prescription for antibiotics under Colombian rules. They accept cards, including most foreign Visa and Mastercard, with chip-and-PIN as the default at the register. No seating, no café, just quick in-and-out shopping a few minutes’ walk from most T1 gates. Use it for last-minute essentials, then grab your coffee or meal elsewhere in the terminal.

Practical tip: screenshot the Spanish name and dosage (for example, “ibuprofeno 400 mg”) before you fly; it makes the pharmacy counter interaction at Farmatodo much faster.
