Dufry Duty Free

Gate-side duty free run in T1

Dufry Duty Free sits airside in T1 at José María Córdova International, just past security for international departures. You’ll hit it on the way to most gates, so you don’t need to backtrack. Think of it as the last stop for Colombian coffee, liquor, and chocolate before boarding.

Alcohol dominates the front section: you’ll see big stacks of Aguardiente Antioqueño, rum brands like Ron Medellín and Dictador, plus the usual Johnnie Walker and Bacardi. Prices on local bottles often beat city supermarkets by a few dollars, while imported spirits track close to downtown retail once you remove the tax-free label from the marketing in your head.

Farther in, one wall runs coffee and sweets, with 250 g and 500 g bags from labels like Juan Valdez and smaller Antioquia roasters. Pre-boxed coffee-and-chocolate gift packs cost more than buying items separately at MDE’s regular shops, but they save you time if you’re already at the gate with 15–20 minutes before boarding.

Cosmetics, perfume, and basic travel-sized toiletries fill the back, with plenty of 50 ml and 100 ml bottles that pass carry-on liquid limits. Expect standard Dufry pricing: some fragrance sets undercut European airports by a few euros, others don’t. If you care, scan a barcode into a price-comparison app before committing.

Tip: walk the store in one loop, then decide; the same rum, coffee, or perfume usually appears in at least two spots, and the promo tag is not always on the first shelf you pass.
