Opposite Gate 10 in T1, Cromantic is the airport beauty stop.
Post-security in Terminal T1, Cromantic focuses on makeup, nail polish, and basic skincare, handy if your liquids got flagged at MDE security. Expect Colombian drugstore-to-midrange brands rather than luxury labels, with prices roughly in line with city pharmacies plus a small airport premium.
The shop keeps typical MDE hours, opening early for the first departures around 5:00 and usually staying open through the late evening flights after 21:00, but staff sometimes start closing cabinets 15–20 minutes before official closing. If you land on a very late international arrival, you might find the doors already shut even if other T1 shops are still trading.
Cromantic leans hard into color: wall racks of nail polish in 20–30 shades, lipsticks, eyeliners, and basic brushes. You won’t find high-end serums, but you can grab a replacement mascara or a quick gift under 40,000–70,000 COP. Stock shifts often, so don’t count on a specific shade being there on your way back through MDE.
There’s no seating and space is tight, especially when two or three customers pull carry-ons inside. Staff usually hover close; if you just want to browse, keep it quick. One practical tip: if you’re short on time before boarding at a distant gate, snap a photo of the product name and price tag so you can match it later in a city store if you miss the purchase here.
