Parqueadero Terminal de Carga

Long stay

Five-minute walk from T1, right by the cargo terminal

Parqueadero Terminal de Carga sits beside the cargo area at José María Córdova (MDE) and sits about a 5-minute walk from Terminal 1. It’s set up for long-stay parking, so it suits trips running several days or more instead of a quick pickup run.

This lot functions as a basic long-term option rather than premium airport parking, but the key detail is distance: you’re on foot to T1 in roughly 5 minutes, without waiting for a shuttle. That short walk matters at MDE, where traffic on the access road can easily eat up 10–15 minutes at busy times.

Signage around the cargo area uses “Parqueadero Terminal de Carga” by name, and staff typically direct long-stay drivers here instead of the closer short-stay bays in front of T1. If you’re dropping a car for a week or more, this is usually the better value compared with the terminal-front spaces that are priced toward same-day parking.

Security presence is basic but visible, with periodic patrols and lighting across the rows closest to the cargo terminal buildings. As with most long-stay options near MDE, you’re parking outside, so plan for rain and sun when you pick a row and when you load or unload bags.

One practical tip: build in an extra 10–15 minutes on your outbound day to find a spot, lock up, and walk the 5 minutes to T1 check-in. On your return, confirm your arrival gate in T1 before you start walking back so you don’t waste time wandering the curb looking for the cargo-side access point.
