Motorcycle parking

Motorcycles only, right by MDE’s terminal access road

Parqueadero Motos at José María Córdova International (MDE) is a dedicated motorcycle parking area serving Terminal T1, so you’re not mixing with cars or long-rig taxis. It’s on the main airport access side, close enough that the walk to the terminal usually runs under 5–10 minutes depending on your gate check-in row.

This is open-air surface parking, so your bike sits outside, not under a roof or in a multilevel garage. Spaces are laid out for standard-size motos, common in Medellín and Rionegro, and you park within marked lines rather than using car bays. If you ride a larger touring bike or carry side cases, plan extra time to pick a spot with a bit more lateral room.

Pricing here targets daily riders, with motorcycle rates significantly lower than the main car lots that serve T1. You pay per hour with a capped daily maximum, which usually beats leaving a car in long-stay for trips of 2–3 days or more. Keep small bills or a contactless payment method ready, as the booth handles a steady flow at peak morning and late-night departure banks.

Security at Parqueadero Motos focuses on controlled entry and exit with a ticket barrier and staff presence during operating hours tied to T1’s flight schedule. There are cameras covering the lanes and main rows, but this is still open to the elements. Bring a sturdy disk lock or chain for anything overnight, especially if your bike has removable boxes or aftermarket parts.

Tip: take a quick photo of your parked moto and the nearest row marker or sign before heading to T1; it makes finding the bike faster when you land back at MDE tired after a late arrival.
