Eight minutes from the Zentralterminal, but priced for long stays
Parking Space P4 sits about 0.5 miles from the Zentralterminal at Leipzig/Halle Airport and is set up as a long-stay car park. It targets trips of several days rather than quick drop-offs, so think week-long holidays or business travel blocks instead of same-day returns. You’ll be walking or shuttling in, not grabbing a last-minute space by the doors, but the trade-off is usually a lower daily rate than the short-stay options closer to the terminal.
P4 serves both the Zentralterminal and Terminal B, so one booking works regardless of whether your flight leaves from the main building or the B gates. It’s officially labeled as a long-stay lot in airport materials, which signals multi-day pricing and less turnover. Check your airline and terminal before you park; if you’re flying from B, allow a few extra minutes from P4 to the check-in counters, as you still head through the Zentralterminal first.
This is an open-air surface lot rather than a multistorey, so your car sits outside for the entire stay. That matters in January when temperatures in Saxony drop below freezing, and in July when sun sits directly on the windscreen for hours. If you’re leaving the car for 7–10 days, remember to remove valuables and consider sunshades or a cover, because there’s no underground option within the P4 footprint.
Online prebooking for long-stay parking at LEJ can lock in lower per-day pricing compared with just turning up at P4, especially when staying more than three nights. The airport often groups P4 with other long-stay products in its booking engine, so double-check that “P4” appears in the confirmation before you pay. Tip: add at least 15–20 minutes on top of your normal airport arrival buffer to allow for parking, walking or shuttle time, and bag unloading in this more distant lot.
