5-minute walk from the Zentralterminal, P3 is LEJ’s main long-term lot
P3 sits directly opposite the Zentralterminal at Leipzig/Halle Airport and is set up for long-term parking. You walk to the terminal in about 5 minutes on a marked pedestrian route, so no shuttle timing to worry about. It’s an open-air, multi-row surface lot with standard-size spaces, so larger SUVs fit without drama.
Pricing at P3 is geared to trips of several days, with daily rates typically lower than the short-stay options closer to the terminal doors. It’s pay-on-exit via machines that accept major cards and cash, and the entry ticket uses a simple barcode system, so keep that ticket dry and out of direct sun on the dashboard. If you’re leaving the car for more than a week, prebooking online through the airport usually locks in a better per-day rate than drive-up pricing.
P3 serves both the Zentralterminal and Terminal B, and the walk to check-in stays under 10 minutes even from the far end of the lot. Wayfinding signs list “P3 Langzeitparken,” and each row has a number marker, which is worth photographing so you’re not wandering after a late flight back from, say, Frankfurt or Antalya. Lighting runs across the main lanes, but the outer rows can feel dimmer in bad weather, so pick a spot closer to the central aisle if you arrive after dark.
There’s no height restriction at P3 since it’s not a garage, which helps if you drive a van or car with a roof box. The entrance sits on Flughafenstraße with a dedicated turn lane, and in normal traffic it’s under a 3-minute drive from the A14 exit. One practical tip: build 10 extra minutes into your arrival schedule at peak morning hours, as the access road and payment machines can back up around the first wave of 06:00–08:00 departures.
