Gate-side drinks near departures in T1

This simple spot is just signed as Pub in Terminal T1’s departures area, after security and a short walk from the main check-in hall. It functions as a basic airport bar: counter seating, a few tables, and quick turnover when multiple flights go out at once. You’re not getting mixology here, but it works if you want a cold drink before boarding at KGS.

Pub keeps standard airport hours, generally opening early enough for the morning departures and staying open through the last evening flights in T1. Expect standard Greek lagers like Mythos or Alfa in bottles or on tap, plus house wine by the glass. Pricing tracks with other KGS concessions: beers in the €5–7 range, wine similar, and soft drinks a bit below that.

Food is bar-snack territory rather than a full meal. Think packaged nuts, crisps, and occasionally simple sandwiches or toasts in the €4–8 bracket. If you want a proper sit-down meal at Kos International Airport “Ippokratis,” you’re usually better off eating landside before security or grabbing something from another café in T1 and pairing it with a drink here.

Seats fill quickly when two or three Schengen flights depart within the same 60-minute window, and KGS doesn’t have much overflow seating. Expect some noise and people standing with drinks during peak mid-day and early evening banks. Staff turn orders around quickly, but card terminals sometimes lag when multiple payments hit at once.

Best move: grab a table first, then order at the counter so you’re not stuck balancing a €6 beer and a boarding pass in the middle of the walkway.
