Gate-side bar in T1 with actual cocktails
About a 3–5 minute walk from the main T1 security lanes, Negroni is the dedicated bar in Kos “Ippokratis” Airport. It sits airside in Terminal 1, so you have to clear security first. Layout is classic bar counter plus a few scattered tables, more grab-a-stool than sit-down restaurant. Expect loud gate calls from nearby boarding areas, especially during the morning rush around 07:00–09:00.
Drinks run in the mid-airport range: think roughly €8–€12 for mixed drinks and around €5–€7 for beer or wine. As the name hints, you’ll see proper aperitivo-style cocktails on the menu alongside basic long drinks. Coffee, soft drinks, and bottled water are also on offer, so it works for a quick espresso as much as an Aperol spritz. You pay at the bar, and card is standard; keep a €10 note handy in case the card terminals act up.
Food is limited, more “snacks with your drink” than full meal. Expect simple bar bites and packaged nibbles instead of hot mains. If you want a real plate of food, use Negroni as your drink stop and grab something more substantial elsewhere in T1. Seating turns over quickly during afternoon departures from about 14:00–18:00, so don’t count on a long, relaxed stay.
One practical play: order, then sit where you can see your exact gate number on the nearby screens, since T1 at KGS sometimes shuffles boarding positions close to departure time.
