Refill

Gate-side coffee at T1 without leaving security

Refill sits airside in Terminal T1 at Santorini International Airport, a short walk from the main departure gates. It’s one of the few spots past security where you can grab a sit-down drink and snack without stressing about boarding calls. Seating is limited, so plan on a quick stop rather than a long work session.

Opening hours generally track the flight schedule, with Refill operating from early-morning departures into late-evening waves in peak summer months. In shoulder season, it may close between traffic banks, so check what’s open once you clear security instead of banking on a late snack. Turnover is quick around the 06:00–09:00 departures, when coffee orders spike.

Pricing lines up with tourist-island airport expectations: plan on roughly €3–€4 for an espresso-based coffee and €4–€7 for pastries, sandwiches, or light bites. You pay at the counter before sitting, so you can control the spend and keep an eye on the boarding screens. Card payments are widely accepted, which helps if you’re burning through the last of your euro coins.

Food is standard café fare: pre-made sandwiches, packaged snacks, and a small pastry case. This is “grab something basic before the flight” territory, not a full meal stop. Coffee is the main draw, with Greek-style options usually available alongside standard cappuccino and latte orders. If you want something more substantial than a sandwich, eat in town before heading to JTR.

Service speed varies with the schedule spikes, but staff are used to passengers with 20–30 minutes before boarding. In peak queues, expect about a 5–10 minute wait from ordering to coffee in hand. Lines grow fast when multiple departures are posted at the same time, especially Ryanair and easyJet banks.

Tip: Hit the restroom in T1 before you sit down at Refill so you’re not stuck in a line there and then racing back to the gate when boarding starts.
